I was a nurse for 39 years. My nursing career started at the University of Illinois Hospital where I worked for 31 years in the pediatric department. I retired in December 2011 and started at Rush University Medical Center-Hemophilia Treatment Center in January 2012. I resigned from Rush HTC in August 2018 to care for my first grandchild. I am still very involved with the bleeding disorder community and I am enjoying my time as the consultant for the Hispanic group through the Bleeding Disorder Alliance Illinois. I am also on the nurse speaker bureau for the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation.

Enfermera por 39 años. La carrera de enfermería comenzó en el Hospital de la Universidad de Illinois, donde trabajó durante 31 años en el departamento de pediatría. Se retiró en diciembre de 2011 y comenzó en el Centro de tratamiento de hemofilia del Centro médico de la Universidad de Rush en enero de 2012. Renunció al Rush HTC en agosto de 2018 para cuidar a su primer nieto.
