Financial Assistance Programs

Emergency Financial Assistance

BDAI administers the Emergency Financial Assistance Program to help persons with bleeding disorders and/or their families. Eligible individuals include people with bleeding disorders and families that have a person with a bleeding disorder currently residing at the same address in the state of Illinois. Any person with a bleeding disorder wishing to participate in this program should be enrolled in a Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC). The application must be filled out by a social worker. Applicants can apply for emergency relief once every twelve months not exceeding three consecutive years.  Assistance can be requested in the following categories: housing, rent, mortgage, utilities, funeral, and the like. Funds are paid directly to the vendor and not the applicant. This program is a payer of last resort. For more information, please email us at info@bdai.org.
